Chapter History

Learn about our chapter.

The Epsilon Eta chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was installed April 13, 2013.  Ever since our installation, we have strived to be active in all things Greek at Mississippi State.  Each semester, we participate in social, philanthropy, and intramural events for not only our chapter but all Greek organizations.  This chapter’s passions are not solely contained to the Greek community but can be seen all through campus as we support our home university by attending sporting events, as we work to maintain high academics, and as we do our utmost to become leaders in our individual organizations.

The fall of 2014 was an exciting time.  Moving into our newly renovated house, our women were finally to have a house to call our home away from home.  At the 2015 Alpha Delta Pi District One Leadership Conference, we received recognition for Financial Improvement, Recruitment, Panhellenic, and Housing.  Only becoming better with time, Epsilon Eta was awarded Most Improved GPA, Most Spirited, and Best Panhellenic Outreach at the 2016 DLC.

Since 2013, Epsilon Eta has hosted the popular S’mores Late Night, a Greek favorite, to benefit our philanthropy Ronald McDonald House Charities.  We have also had our fair share of sports superstars, winning intramural soccer in the spring of 2016 and also taking our spot as kickball tournament champions the same semester. Our creativity can also be noted by our win for Best Banner in Chi Omega’s Limelight philanthropy, our third-place win for Best Banner in Sigma Chi’s Derby Days philanthropy, and our reign as champions for “Trick-or-Treat on the Row” where Starkville children come to themed houses for Halloween fun.  Sisters also show off their skills in Greek dance competitions, such as Limelight, Derby Days, and the Stroll Off.  No matter where a woman’s skill set lies, there’s a place in Epsilon Eta for her to show off her talents in a way that benefits herself, the chapter, and the community as a whole.

We continue to grow each year and reach new achievements.  Every day, the sisters of this chapter amaze each other with love, respect, and especially loyalty as all girls endeavor to uphold our open motto, “We live for each other.”  Out of all this chapter’s accomplishments, our sisterhood is what we are most proud of.  Our sisterhood events range from regular movie nights and weekly themed dinners to decorating Valentines for our friends at the Ronald McDonald Houses of Jackson, MS and Memphis, TN and attending study sessions.  However, the best part of our friendship is that it extends past these events into the innerworkings of our everyday lives.  To us, living for each other means helping others be the best they can be and allowing them to have the same impact in our own lives.
